Paul D. Neuwald, PhD – Principal and Contracts Manager

Dr. Neuwald has over 30 years of scientific and managerial experience in academic research, biotechnology, diagnostics and medical devices. He is a Principal at Halteres Associates, where he is responsible for business development, contract management and project management. Prior to joining Halteres, Dr. Neuwald was Vice President of R&D at AcroMetrix Corporation, which focused on quality control and standardization products for the molecular and immunodiagnostic industry. He directed diagnostic product development and project management efforts across multiple projects, departments and geographical locations while at Chiron Diagnostics and the Diagnostics Division of Abbott Laboratories. Dr. Neuwald was a co-founder and Principal Partner in the consulting firm of Polaris Management Consultants, which specialized in project management, product development and regulatory affairs for the biotechnology industry. He held scientific positions at Marquette University, the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, and the National Cancer Institute Frederick Cancer Research Center. Dr. Neuwald is an author on 25 peer-reviewed scientific publications, 10 white papers and 81 abstracts and international scientific presentations. He received his BS in Genetics from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and his PhD in Molecular Biology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
