Mindy Brooks, PhD – Principal

Dr. Brooks has over 20 years of experience in life science research, licensing, business development and strategic alliance management. Previously, she was a Manager, Strategic Alliances for Crucell Holland, B.V. and a Senior Director of Business Development at Medarex, where she was responsible for negotiating and executing both in-licensing and out-licensing agreements, therapeutic antibody co-development agreements, research collaborations, clinical trials and drug manufacturing agreements. She also coordinated interactions between the Medarex Business Development group and Academic Technology Transfer Offices. Mindy is a Registered United States Patent Agent and was a Licensing Officer in the Office of Technology Transfer at the University of California Office of the President, where she negotiated and executed licenses and other agreements, and assessed, patented and marketed University inventions. Prior to moving into the Office of Technology Transfer, Mindy was a Staff Scientist in the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of California, Davis. She received her BS in Chemistry from Wheeling College in Wheeling, West Virginia and her PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
