Marian E. Sacco  

Ms. Sacco has 35 years of scientific, marketing and management experience in clinical and market development. She began her career at Baxter, initially working on the research and development of immunoassay products, and was promoted to District Sales Manager after moving into the sales organization. Ms. Sacco then moved to Nalge, where she developed marketing strategies and sales plans for nine major product groups, and successfully over-achieved sales targets through new product introductions. Working for Centocor, she assumed responsibility for US Sales and Worldwide Customer Service as National Sales Director and developed the market for innovative cancer diagnostic tests, nearly doubling the annual growth of Centocor’s diagnostics sales, even prior to FDA approval of these tests. Ms. Sacco was Director of the Worldwide Oncology Business Unit at Ciba Corning Diagnostics and Chiron Diagnostics where she developed and implemented a worldwide oncology business strategy that included the acquisition of Triton Diagnostics, diagnostic and therapeutic synergies with Ciba Pharmaceuticals, and Class III PMA approvals for four products resulting in Ciba Corning’s first PMA. As Vice President of Marketing, Ms. Sacco managed US Marketing and Communications for Behring Diagnostics, a $600M company with six major product lines and a 300-person salesforce. In Ms. Sacco’s most recent position as an Officer and Senior Vice President for Adeza BioMedical, a biotechnology company devoted to women’s health solutions, she increased revenue from less than $1M to more than $60M annually over a period of nine years through creative programs and partnerships while guiding Adeza from a private company through IPO and acquisition/integration success in 2007. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Biology from Marietta College in Ohio, her Master of Science degree in Radiopharmaceutical Sciences from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, and completed the Marketing Management Program at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
