G. Karen Yu, PhD – Principal

Dr. Yu has over 15 years of scientific research and managerial experience in the academic research, biotech, and pharmaceutical industries. She has led many genomic mining activities at Novartis, Chiron, and Genentech to support early target discovery and validation. Dr. Yu has managed teams of different functional areas and worked with teams across multiple sites to develop enterprise level applications for genomic data exchange. She is a key team player in several oncology drug discovery and development projects at Novartis to support drug MOA studies, biomarker discovery, indication selection, and patient stratification strategies. Dr. Yu started her higher education at Peking University for pre-med and the Peking Union Medical College for medicine. She received her PhD in Genetics from the University of Iowa, Iowa City and completed her post-doctoral training with NIH funding at the University of California at San Francisco focusing on developmental biology.
