David T. Shewmake, PhD – Principal

Dr. Shewmake is a consultant in the area of healthcare information technology and biomedical informatics. For over 25 years he has been involved in senior management positions for several early stage companies. Most recently he was Vice President of Informatics and Engineering at Berkeley HeartLab, which was acquired by Celera. In that position he was the architect and managed development of a web based cardiovascular disease management system and a laboratory information management system. Dr. Shewmake holds two patents with several pending. He received his BS in Physics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and his PhD in Medical Information Science from the University of California, San Francisco.
