Birgit Fleurent – Principal

Mrs. Fleurent has 20 years of strategic planning, marketing, product management and marketing communications experience in the life science and diagnostics industries. Most recently she was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for the startup company SanguiSep S.A. (Switzerland), where she developed the market for a proprietary NASA-patented blood separation technology working with opinion leaders worldwide across multiple disciplines and functions. She also directed efforts to identify, analyze and commercialize new products, technologies and businesses. At Genelabs Diagnostics, Birgit established and led the global marketing and sales team based in Singapore, Geneva and the U.S. She developed and executed the marketing strategy for the company’s product portfolio, which encompassed a range of products and technologies for use in both developed and developing world markets. While at DuPont, Mrs. Fleurent led a global marketing and technical service department responsible for life science products and infectious disease diagnostics. She managed market research, all phases of product launch, marketing communications and sales training and support. Prior to her marketing experience, Birgit held laboratory positions at DuPont and Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her BS in Animal Science at the University of New Hampshire in Durham. Mrs. Fleurent is fluent in German and French.
